The Washington Wizards brought in Russell Westbrook in the offseason; pairing him with Bradley Beal to see if the duo can bring the NBA team in the nation’s capitol into the postseason.
Beal and Westbrook are surrounded by a young roster of Wizards that will compliment the two including Rui Hachimura, Dave Bertans, Thomas Bryant, Moritz Wagner and newly-drafted, promising Deni Avdija who was chosen by Washington at #9 in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Though the Wizards won’t be on TNT, ABC, or ESPN, they’ll be on NBATV six times during the 2020-21 season . For other games, they’ll be on local Washington D.C. TV kicking off the season schedule vs. the Philadelphia 76ers on December 23, 2020 and then have two back-to-backs with the Orlando Magic and then two games vs. the Chicago Bulls.

With Beal and Westbrook, the expectations are that Washington can make the NBA Playoffs this season but will need a third or fourth player to step up. The young Bryant has shown a lot of potential and strong interior play early on while Avdija is a highly-touted prospect. We’ll see if they step up.
