Free printable 2nd grade math worksheets
2nd Grade is a great year. Kids are used to their school, but not so far ahead that they feel the pressures of later grades. Do you need more 2nd grade worksheets? Check out this post. 2nd grade can also be when students start to learn fractions. This chart may look overwhelming, but you can circle or focus in on certain parts if you’re helping your student learn fractions and decimals!
Subtraction
Now that your student is used to addition, it’s time to get familiar with subtraction. Subtraction is the opposite of addition, and it’s helpful for students to look at it like that. This sheet will first show students equations that look like addition but teach what subtraction is. Then we will have them solve subtraction equations as they usually look.

Counting coins
Counting money is an important skill, and helps kids practice their counting as well. In this worksheet, we have coins to count. They are out of order by size of denomination, and both heads and tails. Students will have to keep track of the different coins and count the sum of money in each line. For an extra bonus, have them add up all the coins to get the grand total!

Fractions
Fractions can be tricky, but start kids off with simple ones, and they’ll learn them in no time! This worksheet focuses on halves, and telling which shapes are not split into equal parts.

Addition
Addition is one of the skills we’ve focused on in previous posts, like this one for 1st graders. This worksheet has bigger numbers, but the principles are the same. Work with the kids on value places, like 10s and 1s, and they’ll be able to work through adding larger numbers.
