Wimbledon is the oldest tennis competition in the world and largely because of that, it’s considered by many of the world’s biggest tennis stars as the most prestigious of all four of the Grand Slam tennis tournaments. The tournament has been played on outdoor grass courts at the All-England Club in Wimbledon, London since 1877.

(Formerly) better known as The Championships, Wimbledon 2024 will be the 137th edition of this prestigious tennis tournament and kicks off on the first of July. This year, tennis fans can look forward to seeing defending men’s champ Carlos Alcaraz, and defending women’s champ Markéta Vondroušová to take center stage. They’ll line up with the 128 players included in Wimbledon.

Wimbledon bracket for 2019

When the 128 player dtaws are determined, those players have been seeded and matched up where they’ll play sets to see which of the two will move on. Matches in the Gentlemen’s Singles and Gentlemen’s Doubles are best-of-five sets (with a minimum of three sets) with all other competitions playing best-of-three sets.
