Free printable multiplication tables from 1 to 20 (pdf)
As it is of common knowledge, math, and more specifically, multiplication tables from 1 to 20, have caused nightmares to many of us as we learned them in school. Even though it’s also true that you can find math everywhere, we now know that not everyone has to be good at it. Every brain is different, and just like eye color, the ability to solve simple multiplications is embedded in our genetic codes – so, some simply don’t have it. Still, we also know now that every human has one single skill in common; the ability to play.
Every human being can learn how to play games easily, which is why we know that we can use that to make learning more palatable for us, as children and adults. In this article, you’ll learn two different ways of teaching your kids how to play with math.
How to play with math using multiplication tables?
Using our multiplication tables and charts from 1 to 20, you’ll be able to play games as your kids advance their math and multiplication skills.
One of the things you can do is to get them a couple of blank fillable multiplication tables and challenge them to fill them.
The second method is our favorite though. With the game Monopoly – which, sincerely, everyone should have at home -, you can help him develop quite a lot of knowledge while helping him memorize the tables. Also, you can do this without even noticing. Here’s how:
- Print out our multiplication tables.
- Invite them to play and let them be the bank.
- And don’t help them while they do quick math procedures; just hand them the multiplication tables.
- Using the tables as a guide, they’ll be repeatedly checking the tables to do the math quicker.
Faster than you think, they’ll have learned them by heart – especially if you get to play a lot with them.

Below you’ll find the links to download multiplication tables in two different formats. You can apply them in different ways:
PDF version: It makes easy to print all the blank charts. This is great to apply the Monopoly method (watch out for Monopoly feuds though).
XLSX version: you’ll be able to print out individual tables and modify them as you please.
