In hopes of returning to a semblance of normalcy, Major League Baseball has released an optimistic schedule for the 2021 MLB season. According to the schedules found on MLB.com, the league’s season will officially kick off with with spring training on February 27, 2021.

Opening Day Schedule 2021

The MLB will have approximately 4-5 weeks before regular season actions begins on April 1, with every one of the 30 MLB teams competing that Thursday opening day. The professional baseball league announced that they would target a full slate of 162 games scheduled for the 2021 season, hoping to manifest a return to their normal scheduling following a shortened 2020 season that only allowed for 60 games.

As you can see from the above opening day schedule that not all games have been assigned start times as of early February. This season won’t be entirely as expected, as the postseason will feature an expanded 16-team playoff field and neutral-site postseason games. The 2021 World Series is still scheduled to end at the end of October — October 28 at its latest, which is approximately around the same end time as previous World Series.
